Congratulations to Ricky Ponting who is now Australia's all time leading run scorer in Test cricket.

BARNES OUT
That's a typical Watson dismissal that one, it's where all of the bowlers should've been bowling at him. He's soft hands on the block and is usually late on it early in the innings. You'd have to think Strauss actually watched some tape of him overnight and figured Onions was the best one to bowl that type of ball consistently. Disappointed but it was a deserving nut.

Hussey though, wtf. Surely he won't last the series now?

Fair play, Ungums. Fair play.

I recall him getting Clarke at Lords in '05?
Nah, Simon Jones lbw first-innings. And of course dragged-on Hoggard second-innings. He should've been caught cover long before though, Pietersen dropped him, I forget who the bowler was.

Despite losing a couple in the most extraordinary circumstances (poor Huss is very bad ATM), the RR is still going along at a fair old clip.

Unless you actively attempt it (which would be a rather odd thing for any batsman to do), it's quite difficult to score slowly at Edgbaston at the current time. Easy-paced pitch (certainly not a slow one as some have suggested), quick outfield, boundaries roped in a long way in recent years - all adds up.

Scoring at a very good rate for test matches. Shame about the 2 more wickets though. Ponting looking good. And Clarke in form also, this could be a nice partnership.
