If North fails now, IMO Watson should move to 6, Hughes coming back in to open again.

I'm all for Watson batting at 6 for Australia, and bowling the few odd overs. Opening, or bowling more than 15 overs per day, if a big no no. Whilst he has performed decently once, I don't think that he is up to it. If he goes on and makes a ton, and a couple more fifties, before this series is out, I still won't be convinced. When he backs it up with consistency after a couple of series, then I will be sold that he is a genuine opening option in the longer form.
Even if North fails, there is no way Watto is going to bat at 6 in this series now, and neither do I think they would pick Hughes again in this series, because it would be too much of an ego hassle for them to pick Hughes again after dropping him.

If North fails, then either they would persist with him, or they might even consider picking Macca, but there is no way Hughes is gonna play now, unless Watto gets injured or something.

Would be nice to get 100 more ahead, but at least 50-80 would supply some hope of a draw
30 more runs/hopefully no lost wickets - before the new ball is important

100 run lead. Really mature innings from Mick, have never seen him concentrate so hard. A lot of work still to do though.

Bopara on, praying hard that no one manages to get themselves out to him.

Edit: Like so.

Yeah I know, it's like he was replaced with Clarke of 5 years ago the second Bopara reached the top of his mark.

EDIT: Dammit, wish I said "Clarke batting like Clark all of a sudden."
