Broad hasn't bowled yet. Is he and Strauss are having a lovers tiff?
More like a 'need to win the Ashes blinding flash of light' for Strauss. Broad hasnt bowled all that well this series, but even if he was, he should not be ahead of Jimmy, Freddie, and Onions. That said, looking to him to make the crucial breakthroughs in the second hour of play.

Flintoff just using up some of the non-swing overs I think. With some luck it'll start to really swing in about half an hour.

Pretty charitable assessment, IMHO. Effectively a specialist #8 so far.

Yes, I know BB. A master of under-statement, I am.

Edit/ Onions trying too hard, I think.

Wow, had the displeasure of reading some of this thread.

Can't believe so many people argued with Ikki. Pick your battles fellas.

Man, Swann pushes it through quick for an offie with that body action. Must be pretty damn fit to be able to bowl long spells.

Status quo.
Yeah. If Freddie is replaced by Harmison then I reckon Broad slots in at 7. Otherwise its a straight swap of Broad for Harmison. Unless England pick a specialist bat for Freddie, and play their 4 best bowlers which means Broad goes out again. Broad will certainly be bowling for his place today, I think.

Watto very close to making the same mistake that Ponting made yesterday while facing Swann, just should try to play him as much as possible off the backfoot.
