You weren't here for the Aus-India series last year mate. Exactly that happened.
I don't know. Perhaps.
I love Warne the bowler. But as commentator he's pretty dire. His rantings on making the Kooka the standard ball all around the world is a joke.

Brilliant commentator - talks as a player not a politician

Not wanting to see the great man injured, but if Fred's not there for Headingly it might not be the worst thing for the balance of the side. We could then bring in a batsman (Trott for my money, more likely Key or Shah tho) and Sid for Fred & Broad. Batting would be maintained and we'd only really miss Fred's bowling.

Sid's batting not the worst, but he's no more than a competant test #10, really.
**** it, if is for 1 or 2 Test with no future implications, then give Ramps a curtain call (only semi-serious suggestion but still a suggestion) :)

True

Dont really get all the Freddie love

He's a good (not very good let alone great) test cricketer that has produced a few isolated tremendous performances and whose behaviour away from the park is generally poor
Well said that man.

Interesting to hear the batsmen who Warne occasionally despaired fo bowling to: Azhur, Lara, Sachin & KP. Pietersen rubbing shoulders with some exhaulted company there.

Surprised he didn't mention Salim Malik tho, for all the off-field issues he generally had the better of the great man.

Personally I think Nass was fishing for a mention of his double ton at Edgbaston in 1997 tho... :p

What? Who shares it with Hilfenhaus? Siddle who just bowled a massive spell? Maybe Hauritz?
Why take the new ball at all, we have seen the new ball leaking the most runs in this game, and considering that Mitch was getting the old ball to swing a tad, and Horrie was bowling decently too, should have just continued with them for a while.

Nasser must be the head of Broad's fan club if the thinks he's in good touch whilst playing and missing a couple of times per over

That's not the point.

Warnie did mention that he'd taken Nasser's wicket x times in y innings

Sorry but he is no more a player and his words have much more attention paid to than of an ordinary player.

If the ball is to be standardised, why not everything else? Including the pitches on which they are played on? Pretty shallow suggestion indeed.
