Read views from many that think Muller is a decent chance to beat or push Rafa (he did for 2 sets at Wimbledon) and he leads Rafa 3-0 in the first set. Rain delay again now though.

I don't quite understand you. You mean CBS had the afternoon slot and they wanted Fish vs. Tsonga so it had to be played in the afternoon?
Yeah, that's my understanding of it.

It's Labour Day weekend over there and that means a FTA station (CBS) over there shows the day session and gets prioity of the matches they want. Obivously Fish/Tsonga is the match of the day so CBS will want to show that so it's on in the day session. same thing has happened over the weekend with matches like Azarenka/Williams showed in the day session instead of the night.

Jeez, whole day session cancelled. They're going to try and play the women's quarters in the night session rather than the men's fourth round.

Unless they move the final to Monday, it is going to be very very difficult for Nadal or Murray to win the tournament now. They'll have to play way too much tennis in such little time.

Novak once again in the box seat considering he has what should be an easier quarter final compared to Fed.

Have there been any calls to build a roof over one of the courts in the past? The Arthur Ashe court looks enormous with the steep grandstands so I'm not sure it'd be logistically possible to build one there, but I'm a little surprised that in America of all places they haven't followed the Australian and Wimbledon Opens by having a covered court somewhere amongst the arena.

There have been calls, but whether it'll actually happen I am not sure. I know Roland Garros is making a roof for Philippe Chatrier‎. Should be done in 2014 I think. Maybe 2015.

FFS the court (Louis Armstrong) has cracked open and Roddick vs. Ferrer has had to stop.

What a joke. I still remember that article by some American douchebag who said that the Australian Open was the most useless Grand Slam.

At least they've got their ****ing **** together!

Sammy continuing her awesome head-to-head record against Zvonareva.
The couple of days off probably helped her a fair bit too. Hadn't she played a couple of long matches late at night before that one?

What's the men's QF line up btw? Has it all been settled? I've lost reack of it with the rain.

Quarters:
1. Djokovic def. Tipsarevic in 4 sets today.
2. Federer vs. Tsonga on right now - rain delay, Federer up a break in 1st set
3. Nadal vs. Roddick tomorrow
4. Murray vs. Isner tomorrow

Roddick and Isner Combination bet is valued at 19.50

I could buy some nice things, if they had betting parlors around here

Nadal will not lose to modern-day Roddick. Even if Roddick did play well against Ferrer, that just won't happen. Particularly on these slowish US Open courts.

Who knows wtf Murray will do.

Why is Djokovic (1) playing Federer (3) in the semis?

Shouldnt it be 1 vs 4, 2 vs 3?
The Only Guarantee is that 1 seed and 2 Seed are in Opposite sides of the draw as well as the 3 and 4 seeds.

The draw is supposedly random but it's fixed

Isner showing alot fight against Murray here after being down 2 sets

4-4 in the 4th right now

Nadal has completely annihilated Roddick here. First Slam in ages you can say he is in better form than Djokovic.

Roddick only able to win 6 games for the whole match. Telling.

Why is Djokovic (1) playing Federer (3) in the semis?

Shouldnt it be 1 vs 4, 2 vs 3?
Nah doesn't work that way.

Roddick ... smh

It wasn't even so much of Nadal's play it was more Roddick just doing everything wrong. Roddick better beg Federer if he can use Annacone as his coach.

Winner of Roger/Novak will beat Nadal, Murray has no chance Isner took too much out of him.

Nadal and Murray are both disadvantaged with the scheduling. You're definitely right in that the winner of Federer and Novak will be in the box seat.

Murray could ill-afford going another set with Isner, let alone that 4th set being tight as well. Whereas Rafa at least wasn't on court too long vs. Roddick.
