the guy is letting his racquet do the talking for a change...he certainly has the game but i still don't know if he has the temperament to be a consistent winner...

Drop Groth for Hewitt in the reverse singles imo. Needs to be done, retirement or not.

Interesting Davis Cup weekend. Novak is being pushed hard by Kukushkin here.

Muzz vs Nishi is good

Kukushkin and the Kazakhs seem to play incredibly well in the Davis Cup, kind of like India with Paes in the '90s. They nearly knocked out the Swiss the year they won it IIRC. Didn't know there were so many good ties today.

Man Nishi not winning that us what separates him from the big 4 (Stan, not Rafa).

You win the 3rd and 4th and break first game of the 5th. You have to win from there.

wow

Edit: Doesn't seem a particularly big deal though. Will probably only get a few months ban at worst.

Reckon she'll only get a slap on the wrist over it given she's been taking it for so long (I'm sure they'd be aware of any prescribed drugs she's on - at that point I'd have thought they'd have made a clearer effort to warn her of the change), its only just changed.

Though given how knackered her wrist is that might be quite a punishment.

Eeek. Handled it well though. PR 101. Own the message.
She is the queen of PR hard to imagine how it could be handled any better, even took questions which is pretty unique in this situation.

Having said all that it's ruined her tennis legacy and perhaps more importantly her brand. So wish it had been a retirement announcement now.:(

Do we worry that she failed a test nearly two months ago and we're only just hearing about it because she's admitting to it?
