They should leave Kallis out. He doesn't fire in ICC tournaments and they should preserve him for the tests. Parnell should have been used as a batsman, not bowler. Ontong shouldn't be near the team. Surprised they didn't go with Miller.geez, another loss for us.
Quite disappointing to say the least! I expected a much better showing from us but our batsman have failed us. Levi is a walking wicket and I think him getting that 100 against NZ was the worst thing that could have happened to him and SA cricket. He needs to go away, learn how to hold a bat and play proper cricketing shots + learn to play through the offside.
Kallis looks horribly out of touch and too much pressure is being put on the middle order batsman. ( JP + AB) we can't gain any momentum in our batting and as a result we are posting below par score.
I think our bowling has been solid - with the exception of Parnell. Still don't know why Gazza thinks he is an international bowler. He bowls pies.
My team for India would be:
Faf
Amla
Albie
Kallis
JP
AB
Peterson
Ontong
Botha
Morkel
Steyn
somehow I doubt itCan't expect Watto to do well in all the games. We will beat Aus and RSA without any pressure will thrash India.
Hopefully Australia will be thinking it will be better to face West Indies in the semi than Sri Lanka. We're still in with a very reasonable chance of progressing, especially given that we've played absolutely horrific cricket thus far in the Super Eights. Firstly, bowling half-trackers to ****ing Umar Gul and throwing the game away when it was all but in the bag and then playing Doherty like he was Warne in the process of getting hammered by the Aussies. It would be absolutely hilarious if South Africa progress.
All we need is for Australia to beat Pakistan by something other than a super-over tie and then we need to beat India by more than 3 runs if we're defending or if we're chasing a target then we need to chase it within 19.3/19.4 overs. So essentially, if Australia and South Africa win, they will in all likelihood both progress.
I fancy us beating India (the batting has to fire at some point and it won't come easier than this Indian attack) but I'm worried about the Australia match. I hope Australia/Watto turn up with the same intensity as they have had in the earlier matches. Sort of like Sri Lanka yesterday. Despite being virtually guaranteed of a spot in the semis, they were still professional and clinical in finishing off England. C'mon the Aussies!
They've actually got the best average and the best economy rate in this tournament if you exclude games against the minnows:Lol "this Indian bowling attack" has bowled teams out the most times in this tournament.
pretty floggy population tbhThey've actually got the best average and the best economy rate in this tournament if you exclude games against the minnows:
