Siraj has been in excellent form and Shami’s experience and track record probably means he plays ahead. Thakur is there to fill some weird ‘bowler who can bat’ role even if he has been crap with bat for a while now

it looks like there is a framework of a good pace unit in this. once Bumrah is back he should play ahead of Shami and Chahar could play instead of Thakur for the batdeep role

I watched a bit of Shipley this morning

Nice fluent action, looks very rhythmical. Build and action remind me a bit of James Pattinson. So far so good

But there's no follow through. I'm sure he could easily add minimum 5ks if he fully completed his action

Bumrah should back in Domestic next week, if not i doubt india can pick him at nagpur on Feb 9th.


Jadeja will play for 4 day Domestic on tuesday

he's been working on the action for some time, yeah from the one or 2 overs i watched in the last game it all looks fluent, he's been hitting 145 and 146 for like 2 and a half years now....if he could justttttt eek out another few more kms on top a that 146, potentially avg 140-143 in his spells, get more into that danger length area like you said, he's legitimately one of our more exciting prospects, that ceiling is high....and with the beard he kinda looks like starc :wub:
