Definitely impressed with the quality of the pitches this series, just hope that can start to transfer to domestic cricket. When you see someone like Nikita Miller taking his wickets at 15s season upon season then there is something badly wrong

I was at the cricket today. That pitch has some serious life in it, at one point I felt sure we'd end up sub 100. Some kept up, some kept low. It also seamed all day.

Dowrich and Holder have done a grand job here. Get us up to 200 and I expect Sri Lanka will find it tricky.

Not particularly impressed with the decision to play Cummins. Why drag Keemo Paul all the way from the UK just to sit on the bench? I guess this might be Cummins last chance to show his worth. If he bowls atrociously again on a greentop then that should be that.

Yeah, it's certainly no fun playing in England.
Nevertheless, you will have to go back there next year and get humiliated once again, There's no running away from it; FTP and all that.

It’s no fun playing in England because of the climate. Even when your team is winning 4-0 it’s a drag.

Nah, among all test playing teams including AFG and IRE.

Having said that, session of Dhanushka Gunatilleka or Udawatta can be extremely damaging because they hit it a mile. Happening that however is slim. I hoped to see Dasun Shanaka instead of Udawatta, who is a very capable seamer as well, but has not happened.
