*Official* Sri Lanka Tour of New Zealand 2018/19

Thought CdG had broken through with that 72 against Eng earlier in the year. This was poor considering no reverse swing or leg spin to deal with.

A child in hell is granted access to heaven every time Southee hits a six.

SL should let this continue.

kept an eye on this at the pub. lol at southee playing his one slightly controlled knock of the year. unlucky for sl there, would be very frustrating.

yet more evidence for why we shouldn't have these day 1 green tops that become motorways. turns a club bowler like lakmal into someone as promising as kumara.

Feel for SL here. Southee is basically a poor man's Harbhajan Singh with the bat. This has got to be frustrating

i don't. after 16/5 became harbhajan singh 1 million not out i feel no remorse for every brutally jammy bastard thing nz does until the end of time.

Ha ha, thought Southee might finally better his debut 77*. Anyway, good on him, has given NZ something to bowl at.

Amazing catch, prevented a likely hundred, hilarious considering it's Southee we're talking about.

Was trying to think if any Sri Lankan has ever done the Harbhajan/ Saqlain/ Junior Murray embarrassing hundred against us, but none sprung to mind.

Looking back through the wickets, it's been really poor from NZ this morning. Raval, Taylor and CDG's dismissals were all horrible while Latham and Nicholls played flat-Basin-wicket shots - how about playing late rather than trying to punch the moving new ball on the first morning? Despite picking up five wickets I think Lakmal is a little lucky, as he has only hit the right length infrequently.

NZ will need to bowl very well this evening as this pitch will flatten out, tomorrow will be warmer and good for batting.
