*Official* Sri Lanka Tour of New Zealand 2018/19

I haven't followed it super-closely but isn't that the story of Chandimal's career? Always prone to giving it away.

I was just thinking that if Sri Lanka's batting scrap hard, then they might just be able to get by on 3.5 batsmen like NZ did in UAE. If their bowlers bowl well too. Chandimal probably needs to be 1 of those batsmen though, and that was rubbish.

Good trap from Southee, I guess.

Unless the batting comes good in the 2nd dig, will be interesting to see what they do with the top order, I reckon Mendis is in trouble, but neither Roshen Silva or Samarawickrama are really suited to replace him, they might be forced to go for Lahiru Thirrimanne, gawd

May be everyone have to move a place up. Drop Kusal Mendis, and plat Mathews at 4, Chandimal at 5, Roshen at 6 and Samarawickrama at 7 keeping. I still believe our best #6/7 is Kaushal Silva, who was a keeper bat to start with.

I'd much sooner open with Mendis than drop him. Gunathilaka is a prank cricketer.

Dickwella is probably doing enough here to keep his place

NZ ought to try the spinner again - see if Dickwella will sweep himself into oblivion

Lakmal is pretty handy with the bat these days, good at hanging around with a specialist batsman

Comms right that that's an extra good catch running back with a helmet on his head. Nicholls iirc dropped a few in his early time playing for NZ but fielding seems to have improved almost as his batting has.
