Bangladesh would easily beat Zimbabwe. They're a far more talented side.
Bangladesh have zero fighting qualities though. That's why i find them so difficult to support despite them always being the underdog. When they appear to be even slightly up against it in a test match, they give up.

And Zim still have the more talented batsman.

I would like to see Zim’s all or nothing approach continue, if they play sensible or reserved cricket they get bowled out for 60, at least when they are playing on instinct and doing all kinds of crazy **** against Mendis like reverse cover driving, the adrenaline seems to carry them forward and at least pose some questions for the opposition.

Gutted that Jehan Mubarak was the match winner for Sri Lanka. :(

dunno what the obsession with the minnows is at the moment, they had like 6 of them at the world cup ffs, and the ones with test status are the crap ones, kenya and ireland are ok and cant get a look in.

must be a money thing, bangladesh are part of the asian 'mafia'.

the zimbabwe fence sitting still baffles me, they are all horrid, hence they have to fight.

Think they're bowling is still pretty gun. Middle order is gun. Top order? Hmm.
Their middle order is not at all convincing. Jayawardene is no way effective in ODIs as he is in the tests. Sanga too despite his brilliance in white clothers, has not exactly performed to his potential in ODIs. The rest of the batting lineup is shabby.

As to bowling, two names, Mendis and Murali. They are absolute guns. However we are yet to see Mendis operating on pitches unhelpful.

Mendis has operated on everything given to him thus far though.

Sanga and Jayawardene are solid ODI batsman without being exceptional,

In the last two years Mubarak has averaged 50 with the bat, Sanga's 37.14, Silva 33.05, Dilshan 29.27 and Jayawardene 31.16.

Decent middle order IMO. Though I am a Kiwi. Malinga is also a gun ODI bowler.

Those figures are nothing exceptional. Not even solid. But mediocre. ubarak has not played enough games to be judged solid.

Take any establisehd ODI side and you can see atleast 1 or 2 guys averaging above 40.

As to Mendis, he is currently the best bowler on earth, and there is nothing suggesting why he would not be able to perform everywhere as of now.

New Zealand. We're also a very good ODI squad.

NZ is an average ODI squad, nothing exceptional. Also the conditions in which SL batsmen play usually are way different from NZ conditions, and should make best use of flat pitches.
Average ODI squad?????? Whattttt!!!!
We have kicked ass as an ODI team in the last couple years. We can't play a Test to save ourselves but we always give it a go in the shorter form.
