*** Official *** Sri Lanka in South Africa, Nov 27 to Dec 9 2024

King Kane

International Regular
At least Sri Lanka put up a better fight with the bat in the 2nd innings, in particular Chandimal and de Silva.

Jansen a deserving MOTM with 11 wickets, great cricketer, he needs to be as I don't think he will get a job in commentary after he retires.

Granted, they were never as bad in England as they were in the first innings here, but it was a theme of their tour of England that they'd bat much better in the second innings when the match looked beyond them

Migara

International Coach
Both DdS and Chandimal was out with injudicial shots. DdS had a daddy hundred in the sight given the fluency he had at crease. Chandimal was much more laborious.

I feel like that's been going on for a good while and has held us back. We have horrid starts more often than not.

Yes boys, well done

Unfortunately he has retired from red ball cricket, I think
No he hasn't. He didn't take a central contract as he wanted to manage his workload himself.
He told the director of cricket he wanted to skip a year of test cricket and then reevaluate. That was said by Enoch nkwe at lunch on day 2 of this test.

If Dave Warner can get a gig then even Marco & qdk can.

Well hope he comes back soon. I am reading that Coetzee could be in doubt for the second test

Yep. Ngidi, Burger, Nortje and potentially Coetzee out on top of Mulder being injured. Might see us playing Paterson again.

Yeah Shukri said he has a groin niggle. They will add another to the squad as cover.
Logic would suggest Beyers Swanepoel or sipamla but don't be surprised if they for maphaka.
