Agree. Sat there for an ODI vs Australia and couldn't move. It was the last for me.
Ever since for internationals, I've gone to Railway stand or the one's next to the Railway stand or I've been lucky enough to get an invite to a box.
Domestic games, the grass is a nice atmosphere.

Not convinced about Bloem. Lovely cricket ground though & one of the best pitches in the world in my opinion. Nico Pretorius is a ledge.

Was still better attended than the preceding Wanderers test match, wasn’t it? Over 14,000 at Kingsmead on Boxing Day and under 9,000 at the Wanderers day 1. Always looks worse at the Wanderers as well due to the capacity.

Did he? Amla took an age to get going but JP breezed into the 30s. Only false shots have come when close to a milestone.

But scheduling a Test match just before Christmas in Johannesburg is a mug's game.

Fair enough, but as I said upthread, the Saturday of the Wanderers Test vs England last year was sold-out, not sure if any of the days at the Kingsmead game were.
EDIT: One of the guys in the picture accompanying the Citizen article (with the 'Put de Kock in' banner) went to school with my brother and plays at my club.
