Chapman gone, that was predictable, god only knows how he keeps getting chances.
scoring bucketloads more runs than anyone else in domestic

but yes he hasn't seized his opportunities - still hoping he'll have a similar arc to henry where he eventually flourishes when given an extended run in a single position

We could do with Seifert in the top order who unlike Finn Allen has been quite impressive in the Big Bash so far, did we ditch him or did he ditch us.

Money is probably the answer, they would probably earn more money in the Big Bash than playing for NZ and certainly more than the Super Smash.

Much more excited to watch the sri lankan players go about their work tonight. Exciting looking bowling attack that. Where is madhushanka? his left arm innies with the new rock are a joy to watch. Pathirana's pace is pure excitement and his radar has gotten much better since the last odi world cup. Thusara also so much potential. Hasaranga and theeksana as the slow options are genius + pure quality. Binura fernando has bowled beautifully today, that's some serious bounce as well on top of the basics.

We should have just played fisher and bev jacobs all through this t20 series but nzc are enemies of excitement. Its a meaningless t20 for gods sake just have some fun and blood the newbies. Zero pressure here.....just let it rip.

Seifert had a bad run of form and generally failed the eye test while doing it. To me he just looked like he straight up couldn't keep up with international pace bowling. I've never seen someone mistime so many shots in my life.

His whole career he's looked a cut above against domestic bowlers and a cut below the moment anyone gets above 140kph

Was keen to see how Hay would bat

and ahaha :/

Mystery wrist spin tough against the new guy, admittedly.

Can they not use their bats? The one time someone teed off was when it was a free hit. Pretty timid and gutless really.

That was plumb, no point Hay reviewing that one.

We could be struggling to bat out the 20 overs here.

Urgh I was looking forward to seeing Hay bat, haven't seen much of him. Doesn't really bode well if he can't pick a pretty standard wrongun
