I don't know what Guptill was thinking today. That six against Mathews that the commentators applauded was a slog. A well executed slog but an unnecessary slog. And then he also hoiked a four off Mathews. And finally perished slogging.

Chameera bowling very well. Bowling plans are one thing but execution is the key and he's putting the ball in the right places.

I didn't mind how McCullum batted in the first match but here is a perfect opportunity for him to dig us out of trouble - important for this match and also practice for what he will likely need to do against Australia in February.
