It's just the kind of problems a very young, very new, very raw side will face when up against an well-oiled machine like NZ in their home conditions.
It will take a couple of series' worth of cricket for the limited-overs outfits to begin gelling together and performing to their potential. SL have picked a terrible time to do all this though, given the World T20 is like a week away or something.

Heh, yeah it was a bit galling reading Mascheranhas declaring the triumphant return of Boult on the back of a couple of leg side strangles and a top edged slog. Watching him locked in the 125-132 pace range isn't fun.

Mascheranhas needs to go asap. I guess boult's still recovering. It's sure been a long recovery. His world cup performances seem a long distant memory now. He just hasn't been the same since the IPL. Even in england he was pretty slow, but bowled well with swing. Now he's struggling to even get that going. And Matt Henry should really replace Tim Southee....Southee at his best is equal to boult at his worst...at least trent keeps finding ways of getting wickets like he has in bad form.
