Prasad shouldn't be so angry with himself with that ball. Better bowling the occaisional half volley than playing it safe on a shorter length.

Looking at the pitch and conditions overhead, really expected the NZ openers to be given a more testing examination in this opening session. Both Latham an Rutherford have played sensibly and worked the bad ball for runs but this SL attack have displayed very little consistency. Is it not as good a toss to win as pitch/conditions suggest or do this pace trio not quite have the skills to exploit it ?

Inevitably as I type SL get the breakthrough!

Damn, wish it was Rutherford & not Latham, but if we can get through to lunch just 2 down, I'd be more than happy (especially if that 2nd wicket is Rutherford)..

Dammit Latham showed so much promise in the UAE and has failed 3 times this series. He was suposed to be our one hope of finding an opener
