Can't see how Dishan's not SL's best ODI batsman ever tbh, although I feel weird saying it.

Averaging 39 with a SR of 85 is better than Sanga's 40 @ 77 and Dishan debuted first.

India recovering from 17 for 5 to 266 for 8 vs Zim in the 1983 WC will always be the gold standard IMO. This one is certainly up there, anyway.

NZ 86 for 5 recovering to make 256 for 7 at the Gabba against South Africa in the 93/94 World Series is a personal favourite. Great partnership by Cairns & Thomson against a top attack.

Over the course of 450 ODIs, I'd say Jayasuriya definitely would have benefited playing the game in the modern era. I'd rate him only slightly behind the likes of Tendulkar and Gilchrist personally.
