BackFootPunch

International 12th Man
Fun fact, his average in this innings is worse than Wagner's average across all of 2014.

Fun fact, Wagner on average, every 6 wickets, takes 4 top order batsman.
Wagner has bowled in 5 innings at the Basin. In those 5 innings his economy rates are: 3.69, 5.28, 3.94, 4.67 and 3.45. His best bowling is 3/106 off 22.4 overs. His overall figures are 7 wickets at 52.85 and a economy rate over 4. Bracewell was clearly picked because he offered more to the team at this particular venue. I've seen absolutely nothing from Bracewell that has made me think, "oh, I wish Wags was bowling instead." He's bowled good, solid areas and grabbed 3 top order wickets. As well as having a 4th wicket dropped by the skipper. He's bowled well. Done his job certainly.

Fun 'fact' that none of you can refute. Henry would already have an 8-fer.
Henry would've been a crap tonne better than Bracewell. Bracewell like I said at the start of the match is another Boult from a year or so ago - goes missing when conditions don't suit.

Dreadful captaincy from McCullum in this last half hour. Played right into Sanga's hands.
He's trying to contain the worlds best batsman with tired bowlers, it's not an easy feat, Sanga is hitting it to all areas of the park and attacking him hasn't worked either. Short of bringing Craig on and really turning the pressure up, I don't know what more you want from him? He hasn't got the Wagner in the attack to go to for the vital wicket, so he's left with "Oh ****, why can't any of my bowlers bowl after they've put in 12-15 overs today? Wagner would do that on the trot for me"

Wagner should never be dropped, this match just shows us why,.

Sanga for me has surpassed Dravid and Kallis now. And this knock is getting ridiculou.
I'll continue to say that Sanga is the best modern batsman, he has scored runs everywhere in the world, his last few seasons have been god like, he scores more runs per match and more runs per innings than any other person over 8000 runs and unlike others at his age, he's only gotten better.

In what way?
Brand shiney new ball, Boult and Southee coming back fresh after tea, Sang throwing his bat at everything, and he makes absolutely no effort to get him out. One slip and a gully is ridiculous even if Sanga is batting with the tail. Poor.

Fun fact - after two failures in Christchurch, even with a dismissal in this innings Sanga would have surpassed his career average in this series. \

Great fielding from Baz to save a four.

Lakmal is facing less than a quarter of the balls in this partnership. 15 out of 63 halfway through Criag's over. Awesome work from Sanga with the tail, especially as he's scored 37 runs in the process.
