***Official*** Sri Lanka in England

Dasa

International Vice-Captain
All over. What a champion performance by Murali....just brilliant. Well done to Sri Lanka - they've done much better than (I think) anyone expected.

Congrats to Sri Lanka and Murali, just wow.

England, a lot of thinking to be done, they really need to take a look at themselves. Could be painful viewing come next November unless some players stop living off past glories.

Also, I am so happy for a guy named Tom Moody. He has taken so much crap in last 8-10 months from pretty much all quarters. I hope those who criticized him are going to give him credit. Amazing Job by Murali and SL.

Great day for Lankan Cricket. Congratulations to SL fans. Is it their first victory in England ?

Second I think after The Oval one a few years back. A certain spinner bagged a few then too IIRC...

They've never given up all series, fair play to them.

Bit unrealistic Panesar batting at 8.

I'd have him opening personally, and captaining, possibly coaching as well. I think we shpuld request a change in rules and let him bowl all our overs, he can bowl LFM from one end and SLA from the other. In fact, why not just have Panesar on his own, the other team have to get him out ten times in each innings, and he can field all by himself.

Monty - the only England player we are proud of tonight

I know it's been mentioned that Panesar outscored a lot of people, but Monty - the walking wicket - actually scored the same as Cook, Pietersen, Collingwood, Flintoff and my hero put together. I wouldn't mind if he'd scored a double century but he got 26...

I really didn't think there was any chance of England not winning this series, amazing stuff. Jayawardene as captain too (from what I saw of the first and second test) has done a good job. I think he handled the job very well, including his interviews during and after the matches.

Without exactly kicking England when they're down, it really must be asked, are England going to win another series before the Ashes? I guess we'll find that out during the Pakistan series, which should be awesome.
