I really don't think he likes taking the new ball. He prefers to bowl after we get the chance to work on the ball a little bit.dontcloseyoureyes said:Flintoff seems to bowl so much better when he doesn't open the bowling.

Probably will go in after lunch.Barney Rubble said:Dilshan in at 5 ahead of Jayasuriya - strange. I'd have thought they'd bat him in the top 5, at least - he was opening the batting for them a couple of months ago, after all.
They were coming right at him (without any deviation in Kumar's case). He's not that poor a keeper that he misses those.Samuel_Vimes said:Probably will go in after lunch.
Jones three catches?![]()
Catches per match is one of the least reliable statistical criteria for measuring players. If it had any real validity then Gilchrist would be a far better keeper than Bert Oldfield, Don Tallon, Rod Marsh or Ian Healy. A high catches per match ratio merely suggests that the bowlers in his team create a relatively high amout of chances behind the wicket and take a lower proportion of their wickets without the use of a fielder.Neil Pickup said:106 catches in 29 Tests suggests he's doing something right.
