Imperious. I think Cook might just be the best player of the pull shot in the game right now, apart from Kallis.

This pissed me off so much during the Ashes. Cook hooks/pulls/glances a few rubbish balls for four then square leg goes deep and he starts helping himself to singles there! Don't do it Tilly!

Those were pretty decent short balls as well.. he made it look so easy.

These two have done pretty well to avoid the total disaster, though the bowling has been just good rather than excellent. Given that they were put in to bat on what turned out to be quite a lively track, another 30 without loss will see them back to even.
Reckon we're back there now. These two need to go on though, two fifties from the top five isn't enough.

Fine 50, tbh.

EDIT: That's crazy timing. Forward defense beats backward point for four!

Yep, Gower's got it spot on.. no point in bowling even the occasional short ball to Cook. He loves it there.

I'm hanging around waiting for my CWPL match to start and Spork's still hanging around in here?

Hop to it, boy.

Haven't checked the cricinfo commentary but am assuming it says something like... "crisis for England, if only they had Ravi Bopara (who didn't go to the IPL in case you didn't know) walking to the wicket"...

Not really. Someone's written in pointing out that his average of 34 in D2 doesn't amount to much, and that's about it.

What kind of scores would England and Sri Lanka be satisfied with respectively (taking into account England's attack, SL's short batting lineup, Swann bowling last on this wicket etc.)?
