Interesting, after 83 matches Johnson has a batting average of 16, Wasim Akram at that same stage had an average of just 10. People need to lay off Mitch a bit.

Wasim Akram made his ODI debut when he was 19 though. I'd also argue that Johnson has more talent with the bat than Wasim anyway - Wasim averaged 23 in Tests and 17 in ODIs when he retired which didn't do his talent justice and certainly wouldn't do Johnson's.
