Haha wow what a shot by Tendulkar for 6, reminded me of the shot he played against one of the English bowlers. And wow that over throw just reminded me of the match against Pak in the 2003 WC, when everything was going for him!

15000 OD runs, yet another 50 and what else can you ask from this man. Legend.

Edit: That's Tendulkar's 79th OD 50.

Slightly random, but I can't remember an ODI where both sides had such dire tails.

South Africa
7. Andrew Hall (21.63)
8. Andre Nel (7.50)
9. Thandi Tshabalala (N/A)
10. Makhaya Ntini (9.10)
11. Charl Langeveldt (3.28)

India
7. Piyush Chawla (3.00)
8. Ramesh Powar (13.66)
9. Zaheer Khan (14.08)
10. RP SIngh (8.66)
11. Ishant Sharma (N/A)

Quite horrible really, even if Chawla's stats are a bit misleading.

Thought that myself, especially when I saw that Nel had come in at 8 for SA.

Man what a treat it's been to watch Tendulkar today, what a treat. All his shots were so classy. Seriously if he continues to play like this, England should forget about playing Monty  :p! Jokes apart, he was truly amazing to watch today. Reminds you that he really truly is a bloody legend.

lol.... Actually, I am a fan of variety in movies. I can enjoy a senseless laugh riot movie just as much as I enjoy a really well crafted tragedy with powerful performances. I enjoy realistic movies and I also enjoy fantasy movies. And I think there is space for all these different genres of movies amongst all audiences. Hollywood is not just about The Rain Man and Philadelphia.... It is also about Terminator, Spiderman and Superman movies and The Matrix triology. You have your senseless comedies, you have your satirical movies, you have your really serious and powerful dramas ranging from family to court to military and stuff.. You have your candyfloss love stories, you have your kids movies, you have your movies based on animals like 101 dalmations and Stuart little.... As long as a movie is well made by the standards of that particular genre, I think it can be called a good movie.

I can understand that Rajini has not been showing much variety for a number of years now, but a lot of his early movies had mind blowing themes and performances from himself and others... It is just that there was a void for a superman like hero amongst the tamil audiences after the period of MGR and Rajini has filled that vaccuum. Not fair to criticize him for that because he has shown that he is a very capable and versatile actor on a number of occassions. Kamalhassan towers above everyone in India as an actor, IMHO, but I think one reason Rajini is not appreciated much is because he is often compared to Kamal and since Kamal is so much better than all actors in India (not just Rajni), Rajni tends to lose out. But he is a great actor in his own right who has done a lot of meaty roles well and his movies, even today, are great entertainers with a lot of comedy, action, good songs, and bits of advice... So, I don't think it s a fault to enjoy his movies.
because of what you said about kamal, i shut my eyes to all the sacreligious things you said about rajani...:) ,

anyway back on topic, loving the tendulkar blitzkrieg...:)
