actually it was a brilliant piece of swing bowling from pollock that induced the shot. it was an excellent opening spell from pollock in the conditions and i find it hard to understand why graeme smith didnt bowl him just after lunch when jayawardhene wasnt set. and when he did bowl he bowled to defensive fields with only one slip.Craig said:

klusener meanwhile bowled total rubbish, how can any medium pacer on what is an extremely slow wicket try to bounce a batsman i'll never know, following them up with balls wide outside the off stump too.....its interesting that someone suggested that he had actually improved since his last test match.

Sri Lanka likely to get around 350 (Although this depends on Vaas and allrounder Maharoof trying to stay around with Jayawardene, especially with the new ball being only 9 overs old).
The pitch being slow this may still be an above par score, although the South African batting runs down to number 9 (Boje).
If South Africans are to stay in this game (considering they have to bat 4th on an absolute turner), they will need to get a lead of at least 100 on first innings.
They will need to play Murali and Chandana and the part-time spinners Jayasuriya, Dilshan, Samaraweera well if they are to get a first innings lead.
Having said that Australia won the Galle Test after conceding a first innings lead of over 150.
