Have just gone on.line to see its 80-3...Hashim & ABDV to turn the tide? Please?

Presence of Tahir on the team remains a mystery.

Hmm, game on, SA have taken a bit of time out of the game but they are still behind, however the strength of their middle order and tail, the placid pitch and the lack of penetration in the bowling attack should allow SA to safely negotiate their way out of trouble tomorrow.

Ok Angelo, stop being a lousy bastard, bend your back and bowl some seamers on this pitch with variable bounce. Having a good off cutter only could help in the course. Bowling KDK before himself makes me gobsmacked.

Isn't that why Duminy is playing?

Extremely slow play today but that was always obvious once we lost early wickets. Batting out tomorrow will be key. I guess both Amla and AB will look to scoring quciker than they did tomorrow and try to put some pressure on the bowlers.

SL might rue the Amla dropped catch - that could end up deciding the outcome of the match. If they manage to get Amla + AB out early on the 3rd day there will be plenty of time to force a result. Only if they manage to bowl SA out <300 though.

Definately not a player who you can afford to give chances to. Hopefully we can get him quickly...

Faf is not a test #3. Amla batting 4 is beyond ridiculous.
Agree, Faf should be at 5 where he can play those sorts of rearguard innings, Amla at 3 and AB at 4. Meanwhile SA's biggest batting concern is finding an opener to replace Peterson, who frankly is the Rutherford of the team.

Dropping Amla is usually a death sentence. He's had so many massive knocks where he was dropped early.

Lakmal clearly isn't good enough to pull off the short ball thing on this kind of pitch against batsmen of this quality
