Latham is just straight up a better batsman than either Guptill or Brownlie. You can't have a number 3 that doesn't play spin and you can't carry an opening batsman who can't rotate the strike.

I hope McHesson will realise that Latham's place is in the top 3.

So much for the patented Mills rescue act. Time for Wonky to start swinging away.

International Vice-Captain
Mills wants a short day in the field. Rate him 9 times out of 10 to not clear the outfield, just doesn't have the bat 'ping'. He's a clubber not a timer.

17 years as a pro and still doesn't know his own limitations with the bat?

If Boult did a bit of work on his batting he could be a proper lower order batsman. He really does have a beautiful eye. As it is, he's a bit of a throwback to an era when tail-enders generally took the piss even if they had talent. Something to cherish.

Not Terrible
Cricinfo rated that six.

"Morkel to Boult, SIX, Greatest. Shot. Ever. Down the pitch, moving away from the line as usual, and Morkel followed him and he swung cleanly through the line to launch that over long-off"
