Awesome work 2/40!! Vijay the wonder bat out for 4. Huge, huge innings for Tendulkar now who is still averaging only 35 against the good South African attack.

Because stats don't tell the whole story. Bhajji is over-rated, while Mishy is under-rated. Those stats don't tell you that Mishy has been in and out of the side so it doesn't help his confidence, while Bhajji has been a permanent fixture. He is learning the rigors of tests, while Bhajji is a seasoned campaigner who needs helpful pitches to do well. Those stats don't tell you that Mishy has the ability to bowl more wkt taking balls.

Moreover, there is a need to replace Bhajji in tests and Ind should be looking to develop a spinner who can bowl well on most surfaces. People want to give Mishy a chance to see what he is capable of by giving him the security of a place in the side over a few series. Sometimes there isn't even a need to play 2 spinners. Ind needs a spinner who can make an impact in a game considering the surface it plays on and Ind's comparatively weak pace attack (but it's getting better with a pool getting developed)

When people debate, it's not only abt the tangibles but also the in-tangibles that they consider!
IMO, biggest problem for Mishy is that he is part of an average 4 man attack and is being forced into the role of a stock bowler when he should be an attacking weapon

Unfortunately for him, I can see him going the way of Kaneria a few years ago where that bowler lost the ability to bowl anyone out for a while

India really needs to find a quality paceman and an all-rounder so that Mishy can be used as a strike bowler

Until that happens, Harby is a better option every day of the week

Hoping for a Sehwag failure (), a Badrinath success, and wickets for Steyn. Would be a good start to a big day.

And by failure, I mean less than 100 for Sehwag.

Must admit Sehwag has displayed fairly good patience in this 50 so far, even though his usual technical flaws still are obivously still there.

I would definately say he has made a genuine effort at times to get himself into line againts the quicks (although its not natural to him), which is something i personally have not seen him really do in the past.
