Feel a bit bad for Dinesh, been one of his biggest critics and thought he never had it between the ears to be a quality international player but this was a very smart and efficient innings. Hope he can kick on from this.

I was hoping he'd get to the magic 100 mark at the 2011 WC final chasing against Aus but am now genuinely worried he'll do it far earlier in a situation not worthy of a spectacular achievement

This is certainly the kind of innings which deserves to be the first ODI double hundred. At least it will be against a proper team with decent bowling instead of Bermuda or Canada or whatever. Sachin has enough overs; it's only a matter of whether he can stay till the end.

Heh, well I'm just dreaming about play starting again. Knowing this, he'll probably be distracted by the break and get out now. I really hate the asshole who threw something.
