***Official*** South Africa in India

He needs 18 more runs today to equal Bradman's record of scoring 100 runs in two back to back sessions.

I can't believe India are *still* 80 odd runs behind!
I can't believe its come down to 80 and there is still two days left. If only the Indian selectors would have went for Aakash Chopra as the ‘reserve’ opener for Australia, South Africa would still be 250 plus runs in front and doubtlessly have a couple more wickets.

Congrats to Sehwag though unbelievable knock.

Whatever it takes!!!
Really hope Sehwag breaks Lara's record :) Unlike Lara's record, Sehwag's team actually needs such an abysmal amount of runs. It will be a far more meaningful and non-selfish effort. Not to mention the clip at which he is scoring.
lol. The fact that Sehwag has been able to play such an innings only shows that Lara was right in batting on. IF they had declared on 550 and if someone from England had taken the game away from them like Sehwag had, imagine the criticism Lara would have got.......

How do you figure? England were rolled for 280 in their first innings. Windies should've declared on 600. That would be enough to win the game for sure. It was defintiely selfish.

Bradman himself said the dodgy pitches thing was pretty much a myth. He said you'd get the odd sticky wicket but they'd mainly be great for batting on.

It's a disgrace that Dravid is playing for a milestone and not the team's cause.
I don't think he is the sort who will do that willingly. I just think he has lost a lot of his confidence in terms of batting since the last tour to South Africa. He has just not been the same player since.........

Would show how little they know about cricket IMO.

Sehwag's only 4 away from breaking his own Indian record.

It's almost frightening to think how many India might make, if time were no object ... at 465-1, you'd have to say 1000 was on.

Hmm. I'd say we should declare with 250-275 in front, in the last session tomorrow (maybe with 20 overs to go). Declaring only 150 in front is a bit too risky - you really don't want to bat on the 5th day for too long if you can avoid it.

They got rolled for 280 because most of them were tired. It was obvious had you watched the match. Watch how they played in the second dig.

The pitch was even more of a road than this one..... AT least this one promises to turn a bit towards the last few sessions.....

And they wouldn't have been tired if the Windies declared on 600? Lara went overboard searching for a personal milestone. It was selfish and there are very few people who disagree with this assesment of the innings.

If Sehwag could break the record it would be worth so much more than Lara's record.

Agreed.

Get as many as possible when the batting is at its easiest.
