Whatever it takes!!!
@Pratters:

Look, I am just gonna stop now coz you seem to have made up your mind to believe something which is not true. We have wasted enough forum bandwidth and forummers' time. You can continue to believe these are super hot conditions which will need players to be put on "ice" (your words) while I will understand the fact that these are no extraordinary conditions and will not have any tangible impact on how the players play. And look who is batting as if he never needed a breather. The guy who kept for 50 overs. That is my last post on this subject.

Our seam attack is only beaten in woefulness by our tail which masquerades as our lower middle order. We are gonna suck serious balls in LO cricket if we cant even find decent blokes to do a job in these areas. Right now we are team of 5 guys who can bat best only in the top 4, 1 real middle order batsman who can double up as a hitter and 5 bowlers none of whom can construct an ODI innings of substance with the bat, either at the slog or at the rebuilding.

Yeah, Amla the complete failure. No point at all in a Batsman who averages over 50 with a strike rate close to 90 and so many hundreds already. South Africa should look to bin him and recall a real class player like Johnathon Trott.

What do you guys think of Chris Morris? Not convinced about him for ODIs. Can bowl a bit, can bat a bit but not as much as Klusener or Pollock, say.

Morris was awesome bowling in the death for RR this year, wasn't he? Damn RSA and their fast bowling stocks, esp. bowling at the death. All we have is Bhuvi who blows hot and cold anyways. :(

Amla's still quality, just not as good as his stats suggest imo.

Anyways I hope this Kohli century seals the #3 spot for him. Seriously how good is this guy in limited overs.

I honestly think Kohli should just bat 3 for us across formats, full stop. A talent like him needs a settled position and I am sure he will own #3 in tests too, once he works out English conditions. :p

The commentators are going on and on about how Bhuvi is trying to be something he isn't...but I don't think the recent developments in Bhuvi's bowling are a bad thing at all.

Instead of bowling gentle medium pacers that hooped out of the hand, he is now a yard quicker, gets more subtle late movement, and is also looking to extract movement off the pitch. He's also got a sharp bouncer and a good yorker.

If anything he looks more threatening now. Big outswingers are ***y but subtle movement at a good pace takes wickets.

He's just lost consistency, that's all. Missing his mark more frequently than he used to. Added pace on the ball helps it disappear quickerd too.

SA off to a good start but the new ball is the easiest time to bat here.

Agree *****. Am happy with the added pace of Bhuvi. Gives us another faster option. He is still young.

Saffers paying $3.7. Some of the best value you will see in an ODI imo. This is just extraordinary. I get there is the spin threat, but this is stupid.

Spin threat + tail starts at 7 + no team has won chasing in this ODI series yet + pretty high score to chase

Still worth a bet lol.

South African batting is much weaker with Dumont gone and their balance off though. 300 is a steep chase. Wouldn't bite on that 3.7.
