Haha no it won't. It's an irrelevant century in a match that doesn't matter against a team bowling exceptionally badly. I expect Cook, with the best temperament in the England team, to score many more valuable centuries over his career.
Very easy to dismiss. It's a 5th day pitch, 4th innings and a tricky target. Any 4th innings century is brilliant as far as am concerned. Take it from a die hard Tendulkar fan.

It's really only a 4th day pitch incidentally. And it's against a team with a very weak spinner, although he is admittedly bowling reasonably well. Rather than to take something away from this innings, i'll say that over his career he simply has to make several much more valuable and difficult scores than this one.

Cook sure does love getting out in the 60s.

Wonder if Bell will bottle it (even with the game being over)?

that was a poorer bell dismissal than the usual poor bell dismissal.

It's about time bowlers starting getting people out bowled past their legs. This habit of walking a good metre across the stumps to outside off is getting a bit annoying.

Haha England, how you make me laugh.

Good scores for Strauss and Cook though, both needed a few runs. Pity they couldn't finish the job.

Losing three wickets is no great shame en route to a target of 200, thought we might have been in for a 10-wicket win though :(
