WoW, that was an outswinger as well.

That's what you call a delivery virtually no-one can have an answer to. The ultimate seam-bowler's delivery.

Flintoff simply needs to aim for a few more of those now. And he does. Fabulous stuff, kept out by ABdeV that time.

That's not really an extended period because it's skewed by the last 3-6 Tests and you're being selective with which Tests you pick, conveniently starting just after he scored lots of runs.

You could be selective and find a 10-15 match period for almost anyone where they happen to average under 30. Likewise you could do the opposite and find a patch where they average over 50.

For me the basis for dropping Collingwood lies purely on his bad form this season, before that he's been just as good if not better than virtually anyone else in the top 6.
That's not being convenient, the time frame represents the last 12 months.

edit: This series doesn't skew the figures either - averaged 32 against India, 30something against Sri Lanka, 40 in New Zealand, 20odd against New Zealand at home - not exactly world beating figures.

Just as well he got him out soon, 'cause that lbw decision was terrible. Almost as terrible as England's decision to veto the referral system.

Nah, the reasoning for that was sound. It wasn't done because they thought they'd lose-out should it be implemented.

ooh that looke dlike an edge. should have appealed regardless.
Was really odd that. Just like the Smith one at Lord's, and the Vaughan one here.

Sadly we've not got the replays and Snickos this time that we had on the previous couple, so we don't really know.

Flintoff gets ABdeV!!!!!!!!!!!

Shame he didn't get that straight.

Why the hell don't people bowl more Yorkers at Edgbaston if the sightscreens really are this poor?
