It's harder to score in the 2nd innings, which is why you're generally toast when you **** up in the first.

Even then, its a poor way to make your point. If you are saying its more important to get runs in the first innings as it is even more difficult to score them in the second innings, fine. But what you actually ended up saying is first innings runs are more important than second innings runs, which is really not the same thing.
