**Official** South Africa in England 2012

How many times has Philander been to England? Thought he'd been a couple of times; with the amount of Sky covered games I'm surprised a few of the commentators saying that they hadn't seen him before.
Had a short spell at Somerset this season. Considering the track he had to play on he did pretty damn well. Wouldn't have played many, if any, one day games so the comms wouldn't have seen him.

He was there in grade 4 with his family for a holiday, which included a day in France where he visited Euro Disneyland.

Well David Fulton the former Kent player was saying last week on Sky Sports News that the South African bowlers looked well undercooked, on what we have seen so far he was right. The odd good ball which you expect from bowlers of their class but too much wayward stuff considering how good we know they are.

I'm pretty sure that wasn't his first county stint though. Something makes me want to say Middlesex but I think that's wrong.. he'd definitely played at least one county season prior though.

EDIT: Five one dayers and three First Class games for Middlesex apparently. Score on the randomly good memory!

I'm glad that the umps are keeping them on with these tiny showers.

Kallis bowling well after a woeful first ball.

edit: as i say that he puts up a short wide dobber.
