God he must be feeling double terrible now! Not sure why he was in a hurry to get to 100...Is it the first time he's out on 99?

Both Cricinfo and the Channel 9 commentary said that it can be harder to chase down small totals than big ones, so it seems like South Africa might be in a fair bit of trouble if they don't bowl them out before stumps?

If Channel 9 and Cricinfo said it, it must be true.

Rubbish. Most successful run chases would be in the small ball-park (relatively speaking - that is say under 250). The only reason they are saying that is because the unsuccessful small run chases tend to stick in the head, and in these cases depend on the surface and bowlers. In the case of the "glorious" channel 9 commentary team, it is nothing more than wishful thinking. (Its just a shame I cannot see Ian Healy's face. Also, I wonder if Nicholas will jump ship?)

Only way SA will lose this is if they choke. Otherwise they have comprehensively demolished Australia, and deserve to win.

Edit/ 9 down and 167 in front.

I'm gullible, what can I say! Haha.

Ah, I understand. Makes a lot of sense, actually.

Speaking of Channel 9, they just said if the Saffies have to bat now, they can't do much - they should just intend to survive.

Do they mean that there's no point "getting in?" Because surely you can knock a few runs off the total, that's gotta be good.

Haha wtf. Spent as much time in the 90s as he did getting there.
Was a poor shot to get out tough, the ball was miles outside off and the field on the off side was completely packed, so don't know what he was trying to do there.

Chappell, Warne and Slater - collectively make me wanna smash the screen.

Yeah, it makes a lot of sense, for a team that chased down 414 to have trouble with sub-200 score.

Unless SA commit suicide.
