***Official*** South Africa In Australia

^ That's a great plan for Australia, IMO. It's the Saffie batting that's the problem, not their bowling.

As evidenced by Day 2 of this test (and the first one too, actually), the talented South African order is still fragile and capable of a quick collapse when faced with a fired-up attack.

More bowling firepower and Australia won't even have to make that many runs.

This test is gone. Australia are either going to lose it or at best draw it.

Some drastic changes are required for the next game. Here is my team for the next test.

Haddin
Katich (c)
Ponting
Clarke
Chris Rogers
Watson
Hilfy
Bollinger
Johnson
Siddle
Hauritz
Nice! 4 specialist batsmen, and #6 averages less than 20. Will definitely work out.

Haddin needs to open so Katich can take his time. Haddin opening will mean at least 150 runs in the first session. Also, bring Rogers in to the middle order in place of Hussey. Hussey isn't scoring any runs and his fielding is atrocious. Rogers is arguably the best batsman in Australia right now and SA wont know what hit them.

Play four out and out quicks. Our only chance to get 20 wickets in the game.

Katich can captain. He is a far better tactician than Ponting.

Also, Lee needs to be put down. He is of no value anymore.
Amongst the ludicrousy of the post, the Haddin opening idea ain't that bad; Watson at 7, ya laffin' Australian cricket.

Don't know where to start Craigos.
Don't give me that. Yes I know Haddin is scoring a lot of runs ATM (and under pressure as well to his credit) and he has know proved to be Test class, but I thought Watson would still bat above him. Clearly I have no idea about cricket.

Thanks Bees and Burgeys.

I get the picture I guess...the game is SA's to loose.
Why the panic among Aussies? One does loose a cricket game every now and again - and they have lost less than most.

Hey BUrgeys,

great you've been here. I work here: www.cango.co.za

Been there before? If not - see you soon!

That site has the most pathetic articles ever - makes cricinfo look respectable.
That was the right call. They intervied Peter Parker in today's paper and apparently all a player has to do is whisper "how's that?" and that constitutes an appeal. Also technically if a batsman is bowled, the bowler is meant to appeal, if not the batsman is actually not out, although he would look rather silly just standing there if the stumps were broken.

Make of that what you will.

In ICC 2005, they still appeal even when the ball is hit to the gully.

Cricket is such a funny game.

I bet almost all Aussies would have been happy at the start of the day if we knew only 3 wickets were going to fall all day.

It would have meant Hayden was back in the runs and Katich continuing on in fine form.

Tomorrow is a massive day, we really need to bat well or we could easily go 2 nil down.
