Hodge might, but Punter didn't. Out to a good ball from Pollock. People might say it would have gone over the top, but I think it was a great decision by the umpire.

It certainly wasn't an easy one, it would have been a screamer had Boucher held on to it, but Hodge doing the right thing in Perth, giving everything to the wide one.

I've said before Haydos' Oval knock is very overrated, even to the point of being a major factor in Aus losing the match, cos of how darn slow it was.

Personally I'd say that coming in the circumstances it's one of the best knocks I've ever seen.

Gilly's test average now 50.91, I didn't think it would stay over 50 forever, but I didn't think he would drop form so severly in such a short space of time. Since the start of the Ashes he's looked half the batsman he was last year.
