Bowling Australia out for 250-odd is no guarantee, so no point worrying about it... Hussey played the hand he was dealt & South Africa had to roll with it... If South Africa's batsmen apply themselves, Australia are in for a long day. It wasn't a quick 355 and we've seen this Australian side taken to a fifth day, so tomorrow is crucial.

Be honest now, did you think South Africa would draw the first Test?
Played the hand he was dealt ??

like hodge in the 1st test who was on 13 and went on to get a double ton ??

The suddies can;t win the series because they simply just can't take their chances in the field.

Nel's drop was pathetic, but why was such a poor fielder doing in that catching position so close to the wicket ?

Been to both days of the Test so far - going to all five.

South Africa's bowling has been fantastic all series. So disciplined - may not have the weapons that England had during the Ashes, but they're providing a blueprint for all other sides on how to come to Australia and bowl. Much the same with their batting - the South Africans are playing such a disciplined brand of cricket - minimal flair, maximum concentration.

I've heard a lot of casual cricket fans talk about how boring it is, but this is what real Test match cricket is all about.

Nope, I could be totally wrong again, it is just my gut feeling and I expressed it.

But you are right, anything can happen in cricket.

Hussey you legend... watching him is so satisfying. I never thought he'd get into that team, no matter how well he did for us or in England, but now he is and hes batting like a god. My brother saw him shopping at the centre just down the road a month or so back, I feel so priviliged

Australia need to bring back Clarke for Symonds pronto .........
Symonds looks decidedly average !!

Clarke is in good form and he is from New South Wales.

Total brain-freeze from Gibbs there, if Symonds had've hit the stumps Kallis was gone by about 5 yards! Worst single ever!

Good tight stuff from Lee & McGrath here, building the pressure.

I bet Gibbs would have been popular in the dressing room - running out your best player. Is Bill Lawry is off commentry yet so I can turn the volume up?

You're safe (ish) now, Heals & Chappelli.

Gibbs looking all at sea, McGrath beats his inside edge.

Lee and Symonds have deserved about 3 wickets each. South Africans just won't get out.

Cheers for the info

I think the Aussies fancy getting Kallis out to the short ball - lots of short stuff.
