Sometimes I hate cricket in that players like Warne can completely own a batsman and get nothing for it.

Rudolph has played so well. Whether Kallis returns or not, he'll definitely be in the team for the Boxing Day test.
Kemp out, Rudolph and Kallis in

Logically you'd replace Prince with Kallis and Langeveldt with Boje but the quote system prevents that so I think Kemp will have to go.

Quota system no longer exists.

LOL I know you're just frustrated at the Aussie's lack of wickets, but what did you expect SA to do, come out and score at 6 an over with Kemp launching Warne into the stands?

Same.

Make Clarke earn his spot this time.

Whilst the 200 was a great response, it should be regarded as the start not the finish of his road to recall.

Hussey and Hodge had nearly 30000 runs between them before they made their debuts and it shows.

Obviously, Im not advocating that Clarke should be made to wait that long, but let him churn out a succession of big scores rather than toss him back in just because Symonds isnt performing.
And if you had recalled him straight away, wouldn't that have defeated the purpose of dropping him and it would send the wrong message out to Clarke (and the rest)?

I don't know what Kemp is doing in the team. I don't think his batting is good enough for a Test no. 6, and his bowling is innocuous. When Kallis is back, he has to go...and they should've gone for Andrew Hall anyway.
Prince should go as well. He looks like a walking wicket when he bats against Warne, and when he and MacGill are bowling in tandem, he will be all at sea. Take your pick which should go as they are both rubbish IMO, but credit where it is due Kemp is batting pretty well ATM.

Ponting didn't give himself enough time. Bowled Warne for too long as well. He needed a rest. He is a terrible captain.

So who's more responsible for this snoozefest?

The captain who left his declaration eons too late or the groundsman that produced a wicket that was at its easiest on the last day?

Ponting has to take some blame for not giving South Africa the incentive to go for the win. Steve Waugh would have made a game of it.

Don't think it's been a snoozefest myself.

It's a very easy wicket for the final day, but there's a little bit of variable bounce and there's turn there for Warne (though it's certainly not turning square or anything). It's certainly not such a road that you can't get wickets on it. Rudolph has just played extremely well, Kemp did well too, the conditions didn't offer anything for the quicks and McGrath seems a bit out of sorts. No MacGill as well, of course, and no swing at all.

South Africa deserved the draw.

Ridiculously harsh. 126 overs with arguably the two best bowlers in the world, and an in-form Lee, on a final day wicket, not enough time?

Plenty of time. He was denied by excellent batting, and virtually any captain would have done the same, to a guy who was on the verge of a double century for his debut hundred. Even if Hodge had got out for 150 odd, Australia wouldn't have declared any earlier than mid-way through day 4.
