All in all, given that they were 2/250, it's not a terrible effort to have them out for 450 IMO. A better day from the bowlers, with Pattinson especially bowling well. Given how we looked on Friday, it's a much more encouraging sign for the rest of the season, assuming they can continue to dust off the cobwebs.

good score from the saffers especially considering one short. weak effort in terms of getting motoring though.
good for australia to see we managed a few wickets. pretty good disciplined bowling for the most part, didn't need to use part timers much, fortunate we got that dodgy lbw though.

I dunno. Steyn doesn't ever bowl particularly fast anymore, only in occasional spells. If they are short changing the bowlers by 5ks or so, it would mean Pattinson was consistently around 145+, which could be true but probably not. Philander at 128-130 sounds right too.
