I go out for a few hours, come back, and Aus are already 8 down.

Have the backbone of a rubber chicken this lot.

Yeah look, tbh, Petersen is a pie chucker. Does nothing more than what any grade finger spinner does.
He's alright, doesn't bowl too many bad deliveries, is accurate, gets a wee bit of turn, varies his pace.

Reckon he's a temporary solution to SA's problems until Kallis retires and they feel the need for a proper fourth bowler.

Oh **** off Ian, ''keepers catch''??? Would of had to dive to his right, as opposed to Smith sitting and taking it straight under the nose.

He's a good foil to the pace attack I reckon. I don't know if he can do the holding job...atm he seems like a more attacking Paul Harris. But that's just probably because he was given license to attack in this Test. I want to see him bowling to hold up an end on a flat track before I judge.

As an attacking spinner he's reasonable. Good flight, bit of turn, reasonable control, good head. Has done a good job in this Test IMO, despite Hastings laying into him a bit in both innings.

Will need to improve massively just to be serviceable - guy bowls a 4 ball every over

Would be better off bringing back Harris as not every side will simply gift Robin wickets and at least the former can keep it tight

Nah look, if there was another test after this, Petersen wouldn't play following that one because Australia would have seen how he bowls and treated him like he should be.

If Clarke had kept his head then he'd have been murdered by now.

He was pretty ''serviceable'' this innings, and was pretty damn decent last innings too. Manged to get Ponting and your best batsmen in Clarke out. Don't understand the hate on him tbh, he's been pretty good imo, seeing as he has not played a test in four years. Has a better FC record than Lyon, and can bat. He should do until we find a our next spinner.

I like how the commentators are criticizing the Sri Lankan youngsters for not standing up when Australia are one wicket away from a 380 odd run loss and the only run-scorers of note for them this series have been Clarke and Hussey.

What are you talking about? Cowan scored a ton in Brisbane, Warner in Adelaide which put them on top in both games.

One match does not make a series.

Warner and Cowan have been fine with each averaging over 40

Problem is that our 3 and 4 have averaged in single figures
