Bond was actually making the ball swing a lot. Most of the extras from bonds were due to huge swing or bounce causing the ball to go wide of the batsman

I thought a couple were slightly harsh calls by Bucknor, they were on the off side, which usually results in a bit more leniency. As long as he's consistent it's not a problem though.

Arguably the best OD batsman in the world. Insane.

Excellent start from New Zealand here, hopefully they'll keep the pressure up because pitch seems pretty good for bowling. Is that right or am I reading wrong?

It's certainly a pitch that looks like it should help the bowlers, but it hasn't really played a part in any of the wickets so far. The first two were a mixture of good line and length and poor shot selection, while Daniel Vettori's arm ball brought about the end of Martyn's innings.

Movement through the air was much more of a factor in causing discomfort for the batsmen early in the innings than movement off the pitch I thought.

EDIT: Who here is expecting Aussie to get bowled out? Will be interesting.

I will be very surprised if the Aussies are bowled out actually. Kiwis have two threatening bowlers and then Vettori who is okay and then average to below average bowlers.
