NZ really dragged it back in the 2nd half of the SL innings and deserve a lot of praise for making it as tense for SL as it was towards the end. They never had enough runs on the board due to a variety of reasons, I do think SL vs India/Pakistan will make for a better final.

Quite a convincing cameo from Mathews demonstrating his striking ability with the bat, and an important and dogged effort from Samaraweera. Good effort NZ, the best side clearly on the day though have made it through to the final.

This tense chase has been an excellent workout for SL. Gives their lower middle order some valuable time in the middle in a huge pressure situation and get some runs. In turn that will give the superb top order a bit of extra confidence to play their shots.

Yeah, crazy. The game has ended and Oram has two overs left. The way the bowling was organized, at most he could have only bowled one more over . Doesn't make sense to me.
