I was told England only cares about entertaining the crowd and that Bazball is for attracting kids to the game. Not sure what they're doing here.
It is indeed curious. Wonder if this question will actually be asked in the pressers. Why should the onus to move the game forward be entirely on the batsmen?

They should lie him on the pitch at the 9.2 metre mark with his helmet facing the non-striker's end and then loop his crutches together and hook them around one of his feet to keep him behind the popping crease. He's guaranteed to get sconed on the full.
