*Official* Second Test at the Adelaide Oval

I don't know why England have gone into defeatist mode once again. Yeah it's a good batting wicket, but Australia's batting has its frailties, i.e. and opener who isn't good enough for test cricket, a number six that's not good enough for test cricket, a number five who's still finding his way, a number 3 who can be diamonds or coal.
Thing is, we're so reliant on Broad and Anderson on a first day pitch. This was the case at Brisbane and is even more so the case now Stokes is the third seamer. Only salvage is that Swann, and now Panesar, will hopefully be able to play a better holding role than at the Gabba.

What part of the post is trolling? Enlighten me.
Talk about the match and the performances of the players, not anything boring like where they are from.

Obviously every Cricketer playing today has been approved to play for the team, they are playing for.

I would expect a spinner to be used before the lunch break, especially if Rogers is still in.

It's not like the pitch is going to be low and slow, but from all reports it's as dry as a chip, so spinner will be able to bowl and attack the stumps and they'll do just as much as what Tremmers Tremlett did in the first test.

Fwiw whilst England would have preferred winning the toss I don't think losing it is the end of the world for them. . Monty is a very decent first innings bowler as he generally bowls the same ball over and over again. He'll bowl a lot of overs tightly and won't give much away. The problem with Kerrigan at the oval was that he's an attacking bowler (and obviously went completely to pieces) so bowling first was more of a problem. Basically if you're going to play 2 spinners on a wicket which isn't a rank turner you need at least one defensive spinner. England to either win by an innings or lose by an innings imo.

I think it's the fact very few of us think Stokes is anywhere near a Test Cricketer, and Monty will do nothing until the third day, when it maybe over.

TBF though, I'm not that despondent, I think Bres was a massive risk, if he ends up breaking down, it screws us every which way up. Nothing was ideal. The batting looks ****, but FFS it's time for the big names in the batting line-up to put up there hand.

Come back to me at Lunch to see if I'm utterly despondent.

i was gonna say monty will bowl in the first hour but i suppose two lefties means swann will get first go
