*Official* Second Test at the Adelaide Oval

You must be, if you saw the ball hit the bat when it didn't.
I'm not saying I did, I was unsure, the elite umpire thought it was out. Although he might be a crap umpire the fact that he gave it out meant that it was at least close enough to wannant an appeal.

Are you gonna whinge about Clarke there?

Haha FFS, that was KP's first wicket since July 2008.

Never mind though guys, we've got Marcus ****ing North in first thing tomorrow.

:(

Clarke deserved to end the day unbeaten. Annoying to see Pietersen get the breakthrough.

It's going to be very tough going for Australia tomorrow unless the weather intervenes. I remember the ball turning big for Sachin in 2003 when he dismissed Martyn and Steve Waugh in quick succession. This is North's final chance at redemption.

Well at least we batted out the day with wickets in hand... being 4 down instead of 3 down doesn't have too much consequence imo because no matter what weather will still have to play a big role to save us.

Well if it was normal Adelaide you would have to say England are nailed on for a win.

Can't help but feel rain will save em though. KP and Swann to bowl in tamden tomorrow? :)

if we get 30 overs tomorrow England win.
If there were only 30 overs, a draw would be the heavy favourite. Problem is, it's highly unlikely there will be only 30 overs. Weather doesn't sound good, but by no means does it sound like 3 or 4 hours of play will be removed.

So the question is do they take the new ball first up or let KP and Swann have a go at the 2 lefties on a worn turning pitch?

Haha if Australia lose but Pietersen takes the most wickets, I'll take that - I win 2 grand if it happens. Had $5 on it when I saw North bowling into the rough yesterday. Not likely but definitely more likely than the 400:1 odds I got.

How is it rubbish when I've already been conclusively proved right?

How is it anything other than completely insane when the ball misses the bat, doesn't make a sound, and yet you think it hit the bat?
I don't get you here, hundreds of times in Tests, balls feather the bat without a noise or a deviation, not all nicks are obvious and you know that. You were proved right in hindsight and that happens to all of us.

If they get enough play in we will win by an innings, just not sure what will happen with the weather. If we get lucky like today then there is no way Australia will hold out.
