Way to go New Zealand. I had many doubts along the journey.

Can't believe we are in the final.

I already told my boss I was taking Tuesday off work so that I could watch the final. He said that was fine.

Vettori getting promoted ahead of Boom Boom Broom was a good idea. It is a signal that they have made their minds up initially about Broom. He may not get picked for the next tour unless he somehow shines in the final. Just can't see us picking a specialist batsman at number 7 consistently.

Sorry to the Pakistan supporters about the one umpiring decision. Would have preferred to have won without that happening. As a NZ fan I am used to decisions going against us - so not sure how to deal with this turn of events.

Congrats to NZ for making it to the final! The best two teams in the CT [based on the ones that topped their groups] will be battling out for the trophy

This was a well contested game b/w two evenly matched sides
Nz bowling = Pak bowling
NZ batting = Pak batting
NZ fielding > Pak fielding

Hopefully, it will be a cracking final!

Good win for New Zealand.. they bowled well... Batted well and petiantly..and most importantly they fielded well..

pakistan missed to many oppertunities..a crucial drop catch was the main one.. if they would hung on to those oppertunities.. it would have been a much closer match..

Bating was other problem..Pakistan needs to find a decent pair of openers.. they can't go on with Imran nazir and kamran akmal..give fawad alam a chance as an opener in ODIs.. lets see where that takes them.. one thing i have noticed lately is that the Pakistani fans have been realy critical of yousuf.. despite him performing decently in this tournment. Yousuf deserve to be in the middle order for the ODI.. while i stil think pakistan should look for someone better to replace Misbah and Shaoib Malik.. they are too inconsistent..

Taufel had a shocking call but that stuff happens (usually to NZ tbh ), its part of the game. Looking forward to the ODI series with Pakistan.

I just managed to get my temper in control after the game ended...

I don't think i have ever cursed this much in a game before.....

For me the following were turning points which cost us the game...

1st. Most important by far was the LBW of Umar, HE FREKIN MIDDLED the ball on to his pads! i simply can not believe taufel........seriously....that was a game changer...Umar was looking so good...

2nd. Afridi's out. Simply a stupid shot at that time of the innings...he is so strong with a straight bat...and he went for that little shot i can not believe that........

3rd. YK did not take the power play when it was needed the most....when MO Yo and Umar were batting...he should have taken it so that the batsmen did not have to play those cut shots....second when Afridi and Umar were batting......they should have taken it.....

4rth. Rana Naved! Why the heck you would play that shot when you just hit a six??? whats the frekin point!!!!! you are 8 down! and you are playing that reckless shot!

5th Our bowlers brought us back into the game........Afridi had a very good shout against Elliot the ball pitched in line hit the backfoot of Elliot it was taking middle and leg...plumb LBW not given..yes i know they were appealling needlessly too but that was pretty plumb as far as i was concerned....

6th. HOW ON EARTH YOU COULD DROP THAT.......???? PUT MY 6 YEARS OLD cousin there and he would have taken that catch.....!!!!!!


But i must say......People are saying NZ did this and did that...NZ made a mess of the chase to be honest........had it not been for the Rana PP over of No bowls and boundaries that cost us 14 runs or Elliot who ended up wacking Gul for 16 in the last PP over (YK dropped a sitter)...NZ were in trouble......i would like to say we gave the game to NZ more then NZ took it from us...........however, all credit to NZ seamers they were probably the main reason why Pak lost this game....Some really good bowling......

Best moment.......can't decide between Rana poking Ross's eye out (i think it was him). or the bouncer from Bond to Nazir...that was simply classic..as a bowler it put a smile on my face, but then i realized Nazir was gone!

P.S Although I don't know how they will win against Aussies but still Good Luck..

Come on .....even you know that there was a world of difference in both of those...Umpire should have given the benefit of the doubt to Raina cuz the ball hit after or before the ball hit the pad was the concern.......this is totally different....Akmal did not get an inside edge or anything..he freakin paddled it from the middle of the bat!

very true, think of Bristol last year v England, Melbourne this summer and today he is reliable and a mentally stong player who can play gutsy, grinding innings.
