I wouldnt think theres been too many near 400 run 7th wicket partnerships anywhere anytime.
The RL 7th wicket partnership record is 460 between Bhupinder Singh, jnr and P Dharmani for Punjab vs Dheli in 94-95. Assuming no cw side has done it in the past this partnership would be second to that.

Good fightback from the boys, in a couple of stages, in that FC game.

Don't know who I bribed to get the MOTM ahead of Manju for the OD game against Colts, but it obviously worked!

Werid game vs Greenies, :O at Clapo's figures, seems the boys liked what they saw :(

Happy with another ton, great to see Hakon back in form.

So close :(

And 96 and 98 vs Green so far this season, so annoying.

Haha, just noticed the 7 million run partnership for the 7th wicket. wtf.

Pretty shocking result. Produced the five wickets one innings too late.

A familiar tale is beginning...need to turn it around.

Wow, I knew I was batting above Corrin for a reason, after averaging about 15 prior:laugh: FC hundred number 10 and my new H/S.
Great effort from Hawker aswell, looks like someone who really kicks on when he gets a start

Blue and Green clashed in this highly anticpated round 7 match of the one day comp today, Blue made a number of changes with Charlie Downes and Richard Langley Junior coming into the side. Ethan McNarama was still missing through injury for Green thus giving Josh Forner another chance to impress.

Blue batted first and got off to a healthy start, veterans Liam Camps and Sean Fuller looked comfortable during their 184 run partnership as Green skipper Martyn Corrin was out of idea's to break the stand, eventually is was Manju Reddlappali playing his third match of the season who was brought on and he had instant success. Firstly taking the wicket of Camps for 77 he then followed it up quickly with the wickets of Angelo Loganathan and Rob Bowen. Reddlappali would go on to complete his five wicket haul when he had the scalps of Fuller and then Morgan Burridge, it was an excellent performance from a guy who has been nothing more than a fringe player in his time with the club, an excellent return from a good team man. Debutaunt Richard Langley Junior hit an unbeaten 45 at the end to help Blue secure a competitive toal of 281/5 from their fifty overs.

In what promised to be a difficult chase Green got off to a bit of a flyer, Andrew Garven continued his solid one day form by scoring a classy half century in part of a 109 run partnership with Nick Scott, it wasn't until Michael Cannon was brought on that things starting going Blue's way. He was tough to play in conditions that suited but the fact he couldn't get any further breakthroughs threatened to derail their chances of victory, Scott was involved in another 100 run stand, this time with wicketkeeper Ben Read, Scott was out to langley Jnr for 92 and it was up to Read and Martyn Corrin to see Green home. In what was an exciting finish it came down to six runs required from the last over, star one day bowler G Sriram had ball in hand but it was anyones game, with 4 singles and a dot off the first five balls it came down to two runs for victory from the final ball, with Ben Read on strike it was possible but an excellent yorker from Sriram meant Read was only able to dig it out and the pair barely scampered through for a single to secure a tie and a share of the points for Green, they finished at 281/2, just one run short of victory.

Cricketweb Blue 281/5 (50)
SE Fuller 88(120), LA Camps 77(96), RA Langley Jnr 45*(36), M Reddlappali 5/46

Cricketweb Green 281/2 (50)
NG Scott 92(109), BS Read 85*(93), AJ Garven 56(66), RA Langley Jnr 1/22

Fourth placed Cricketweb Red hosted top of the table Colts in today's other match, Colts were coming off the back of a bad loss to Green while Red coming off the bye were rejuvinated and had included Sv Raghav in their line up for the first time this season at the expense of international bowler Kingsley Clapham.

The game couldn't have started any better for Red as Matt Luff checkily dabbed the first ball of the match from Kyle Wright over the slips for 6, Luff only went on to make 12 but the signs were there from the outset that Red had turned up ready to play. The out of sorts Swaranjeet Singh made a good impression by making one of his better contributions for the season, his 54 was patient but was exactly what was needed at the time, Mitch Rapp, Callum Dinnen and Liam Goff all came in and scored at close to a run a ball or better but no one could match the irresistable Rob Dauth, the in form bat of the one day competition belted his second straight unbeaten 150+ and Colts were simply clueless against him. Dauth's 161 not out came off 154 balls and included 15 fours and one towering six over long on. Callum Laing who was used for the first time in a decent spell in a one day game was undoubtedly the pick of the Colts bowlers and his 2/44 from 10 overs could have done with some more supporting from his team mates. Red finished their innings with 323/4 and it was hard to see a way out of this for Colts.

If the visitors were to be any chance of chasing this down they needed a great start, but sadly they didn't. It was a decent first 15 but the quick wickets of Dan Rai and Ynvge Fjermestad halted Colts charge, Raghav had himself the first three wickets when Chris Butler played back to one that kept low and struck him on the pads, Bosco Fitzsimmons came and went in the blink of an eye and it was 82/4 in no time, it was going to take a monumental miracle for Colts to get out of this one. They tried hard but they just couldn't get to grips on some good bowling for Red who for the first time this season looked like a solid unit of bowlers working in tandem, Callum Laing completed a fine all round game in making 54 while Mike Wilson showed he has something to offer with the bat in this form of the game by making 47 not out at the end, the tail battled hard at the end to avoid giving up a vital bonus point but when they were bowled out in 46 overs they were still 24 runs from that mark, Colts all out for 235 Mitch Rapp the pick of the bowlers with 5/45.

Cricketweb Red 323/4 (50)
RJ Dauth 161*(154), S Singh 54(71), CJ Laing 2/44

Cricketweb Colts 235 (45)
CJ Laing 54(39), MW Wilson 47*(68), M Rapp 5/45, SV Raghav 3/26

Cricketweb Red on by 88 runs
Man of the Match: RJ Dauth (CW Red)
